The introductory piece of the continuously developing album OKTANA is SIOPI, which is simultaneously the first chapter of Embirikos’ book (to which the entire album is dedicated).
A mysterious atmosphere, perfectly described in this particular chapter of the book, is the result of the absolute and powerful silence closely associated with the existence during the writing of the surrealist author.
The piece begins with mysterious violins playing with a tremolo style at high frequency until a minimalist piano melody made of strictly chords takes over to describe the beginning and the end (Alpha – Omega).
Yann Keerim pioneers the concept of “continuously developing albums,” emphasizing continuity and capturing the essence of “Now”.
The aim? To immerse both composer and listener in a dynamic, ever-changing musical landscape. With each new release, audiences witness the progression of inspiration and creativity over time. Each composition reflects the composer’s current state, ensuring a fresh and unique experience with every release.
All new releases are stacked over the preexisting ones resulting in a constantly developing album.
